Minister James Smith, aka "Brotha Smitty" is a precious jewel in the body of Christ.

Brotha Smitty knows how to make crowds laugh. James Smith received Christ as
His Lord and Savior in April of 1990. It was absolutely the best day of his life.
He married his sweetheart Ruth in October of 1994; they have one child Taneia, the jewel of
Brotha Smitty’s eye. Brotha Smitty has been anointed with the gift of what he calls "Holy Humor."
His Christian Comedy is a wonderful means of out pouring God's healing power through laughter.
James knew shortly after receiving salvation, that he was called and anointed to be a minister of Holy Humor. He attended Harlem Tabernacle, it was here James received his training in ministry. He worked in various areas of ministry, serving the Lord as an usher, and youth minister. As well as being a faithful member of the hospital ministry, prayer team, street team, drama ministry, and music ministry. He was ordained Elder James Smith in March of 2007. It was also during this time that "Brotha Smitty" was born. In September of 1999, James responded to the call of God, and he began his Christian Comedy Ministry.
Since that time Brotha Smitty has entertained a host of audiences. He's ministered at many churches throughout the New York Tri-State area. He has performed all over Harlem from the world famous Apollo Theater to the nationally recognized Harlem Book Fair! As well as innumerable wedding receptions (where his performance of "My Song" always stirs the house), retreats, clubs, coffee houses, birthday celebrations, banquets, and awards shows! He has also received acclaim from his peers including Christian Comedy heavyweight and author “Sister Betty,” who has featured him in her latest book. You may have seen him on local cable television shows, or featured on several Christian radio broadcast. His unique Christian approach to comedy has become so popular that he has received invitations to minister abroad, in such far reaching places as Nassau, Bahamas and Europe! Brotha Smitty has a CD available now; and is presently working on a book of his Holy Humor and prays it will be ready for retail in 2008.
The vision of Brotha Smitty Ministry is to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, using the vehicle of comedy. The anointing power of God that flows through Brotha Smitty's Comedy is to destroy the works of Satan; depression, worry, and strife by releasing the healing Joy of the Lord into the hearts of each hearer.
